IPL is short for Intense Pulsed Light. The IPL machine is used for a range of skin treatments to reduce or eliminate unwanted hair, skin rejuvenation, thread veins, sun damage, pigmentation, acne and acne scarring. RF is short for Radio Frequency. Waves of electromagnetic energy targets the skin and the layers underneath that contain fats and collagen. The results achieved with these two technologies combined are far superior for all hair types, whilst significantly reducing any feelings of discomfort.
IPL works best at removing hair when it's in the active growth phase. But not all the hair in the treatment area will be in this phase at any given time. This is why it is best to spread IPL treatments out over a period of time. This is to make sure that hair which isn't treated in one session is affected in the next. The way hair grows is slightly different for everyone, so the treatment is tailored to suit. The dual phase pulse is designed to provide more efficient destruction of hair follicles than a standard IPL. It removes hair by sending out high-energy light pulses. There are actually two beams of light, one yellow and one red, which together affect both the existing hair and the follicles where the hair grows.
